I'm actually designing a power pole using a 400lb. linear actuator to power the pole with a fiberglass rod to go into the lake bottom. I'm still getting a build sheet together but I believe I can build it and sell it for less than $700. I've designed it with 3 switches that are rocker style switches to allow for one touch up and down and a master switch to cut off power to the front switch to allow for the pole to be raised at the console should the front switch be left in the down position.

I got one from Anytide and mounted it to my trolling motor and like it. I can't afford to drop $1,400+ on a Talon or PP so this served my needs at a much cheaper price. I recommend Anytide's product. I keep the pin on my front deck with my rods.

You might laugh, but I'm pretty sure these were out before power poles.

I called Pat. I'm not so sure that it might not have been Patrick
the fisherman formerly known as Blu-Ranger....
