Father-in-Law used to fish Tawakoni many, many years ago. I want to take him back there pretty soon. We've drift fished Texoma for several years--mostly for channels, but want to try our hand for channels/blues on Tawakoni.

Using a restored '78 Johnson, 16'-V-bottom aluminum.

Any suggestions on good drift spots around the Lake Tawakoni SP area, which is where we plan on taking our travel trailer?

Thanks!
Glen

Black point can be good this time of the year, it is the first point west of the state park on the south bank of wace bay

Hooking a fish is like playing string with a cat. The exact size, shape, color of string matters less than how you wiggle it- and little cats are easier to fool than big ones. John Gierach

Thanks, Guys! We'll see how it goes.

Also, we like to net our shad--is there a good spot to search out & throw our cast net over in that area?

depends on when you go. If you go in march you won't have a problem getting shad...if you are going in the next few weeks you better get your bait from a different lake or source.
