I think it is. I think it is good to let people know what is going on. I also think something needs to be said on the water to let the other person know they are interfering with your fishing and if they are in a tournament, also let the TD know.

Most of the lakes are getting crowded now but everyone still should still show courtesy and respect to the other people fishing. Give them some room. It is never acceptable to just move in on top of them.

I've had the reverse experience in tournaments...weekenders dropping off plane and starting to fish a cast in front of me. Even had a catfish dude come around 40ft down the bank, stop, anchor up and toss a scoop of food out while I was fishing a tournament. It's not the tournament or weekender that does it. It's the lack of caring about anyone but themselves at that moment. Fishing can be an addiction and like any addiction common courtesy can get left on the bank.

Stress less, relax more. Go fishing.

I fished weekend series and everyone I was around was very respectful and courteous, but there is always someone that does whats said above.

No he doesn't. Most of the time his boat is being towed by another boat or his trolling motor. grin

And he's right. This stuff happens all the time. Nobody owns spots. If you want to keep people out, put a high fence up around 'your spot'. If it was so offensive, why not take a picture of the rig with his TX numbers, and report him to the TD if he was in fact in the BWS derby? Or even post it up here?

I swear the internet turns men in to blue haired ladies over trivial stuff like this. Comical.

And we all know what they say about opinions...

I see plenty of it. I just don't let it bother me. If you're fishing that close to me, I'll just invite you in. It can be talked about and dealt with there. No need to huff and puff on the internet.

I'm with ya Razorback.. We should all more more considerate of others. Eventually, the person will move out and you can move into the spot. True, no spot on any lake is owned but it is in tournament rules to stay a specified distance from another boat. Just be courteous! However, I do agree... I would have casted a big a$$ crankbait into his boat!!! I'm sure I would have caught something!! wink

You should've spent the next two hours following him around and trying to fish under his boat. Imagine what he would think about that!

Think guys are getting too wrapped up in running home to get on here and complain. I'm sure the Bunco group would love to hear it. Let's hear about the fishing! How did you do?

This is a forum and any topic can be posted up in this section if it pertains to bass fishing! This is a great post to notify all the inconsiderate, unsportsman like anglers who think they own the water, dont own the waters they fish, LMAO!! If it were me in the situation I would have had some choice words for the guy to let him know what I think about his tactics. Maybe this post will give the unsportsman like anglers who read this a clue to what they are doing and change there ways. But then again they might not.

I really can't Believe Someone would even say that this should be ignored because " it happens all the time".

Nobody may OWN a spot on the water, but if they are there first then you don't pull in on them PERIOD. If you do, you are a Low life punk that should have been taught some manners when you were growing up.

I think this is very deserving of a post and encourage everyone to call out these idiots that have no respect everytime it happens.

like the man says...if you're swimming in the ocean and get bitten by a shark, its not a shark attack. You're in THEIR neighborhood. If you're at home in your shower, turn around and a shark is in there with you...THAT'S a shark attack
