Myself and Fred "Rionator" fished the Comal River this afternoon. We started at 12:30pm and fished till 5pm. The fishing was fair. We caught two Bass that were between 14 and 16 inches in length. Eight Blue Gills in the 7 to 8 inch range. Eight Redbreast in the 8 to 10 inch range,several Red Spotted, and a few Longears rounded off the catch. All fish were caught in 3 to 5 feet of water using the drop shot method and bottom techniques. The water was clear in most places and stained in a few other places due to recent rain. The current was good. After an afternoon of fishing we had a super dinner at Montana Mikes Steak House! A great time as always on the water!

You guys are giving the Comal a workout. Nice Catch and as always a super job.

I guess the water is still very clear on the Comal! Also I love that 16oz T.Bone at "MM's".

That water in the Comal stays clear almost all the time! You are also right about that 16oz T.Bone. We actually got a different dinner item which was fantastic!

Looks like you guys had a super afternoon of fishing. Love the Bass and Blue Gills. Also you cant go wrong at Montana Mikes. Great way to end a day of fishing.

Has anyone fished the Cypress Bend Park area. Wonder how the fishing is there?

I have not seen or heard of any recent reports from the Cypress Park area. I have not fished there since last summer. I may hit it this week!

Looks like I may have some time to fish this week. Will try to hit Cypress Bend and Mcqueeney.
