I used FFm idea and made it using rear lawn mower wheel
If you used larger wheels (like off a jogging stroller) you could balance out that boat and it would be feather light in the front.
Just sayin'.

I am going to load my boat with the battery, TM. seats and tackle and show you how lite it is in the front.
I can hold it up with my little finger.
Balance is the key, make that weight work for you instead of working against it.

Best way is to make the axle out of angle iron running all the way across. then attach the axle to the 2x4. Just weld a couple of bolts on each side of the angle iron for the nuts that hold the wheel to go into.

Here she is - I owned one like that. It kept taking on water and by the end of the day it would drain for hours. It ran pretty well with a 5hp mercury pushing it. I sold it and decided if I ever bought another one it would be a plain bassbuster type.

I bought a small childs bike for $5.00 on craigslist, then next day found the jogging stroller for $10. Will try to build something this weekend, need to get my prowler out some day....
Key is search for jogging stroller in craigslist, and eventually u will find a great deal on one.
FFM got a stroller with flat axles, never found one like that!!!!

You can always take some bolts and angle iron to a muffler shop and have them weld it for 5 bucks.

Bad1, If you have the tools such as a drill or a drill press and some drill bits you can do this. Look at my photos you will see that I hacksawed the legs off a jogging stroller and bolted them on to a 2x4. My jogging stroller even had a way to remove the wheels with a snap works for me. Note I only added a 2x4 for this the rest was from the stroller. I have about $18.00 in this.
