i caught a two pound LMB there last thursday night about 10:45 PM, by the Cellar Restaurant. The canal that runs from Las Colinas Blvd up into the high rises is very good for bass, crappie, yellow bass, and catfish. The area around the Marriott is also excellent for bass and crappie and cats. The canal that runs behind the DART transfer station on Riverside is superb for bass and catfish.

Years ago I worked in the office building that the canal run thru. We use to feed 5-10lb catfish Wendy fries. I always wanted to fish that canal.

There are big fish in all of the canals in LC. Good fishing when the water warms up some more.

Knew a guy who would nonchatantly walk the canals dragging a spinner bait or crank bait along the walls. Did very well.

If he had dragged a tube jig or two he would have done MUCH better! Those fish are addicted to tiny crappie jigs, and I mean everything from 9-10 inch bluegills to 10 lb bass to 2 lb crappie to 20 lb plus channels and flatheads! Have caught em all there on tubes!

Tubes outfish everything else in those canals.

There are canals EVERYWHERE inside the Las Colinas complexes! The one over by the Studios at Las Colinas just recently had the "Posted" signs taken down and that one is full of bass and crappie. There are canals over on royal, behind Red HOt and Blue, there are canals up toward Northlake College, There are canals everywhere, all feeding into lake carolyn

Go to google earth and type in las colinas. You will see water everywhere. Canals, creeks, trinity river, etc.

All those spots are good. Just pick a spot and fish it and you should find a few. It will be better in a couple of weeks when it warms up. Never fish there much in the winter but I know they are there.

Yup you can. I have in the past. Yeah, in the Lake Carolyn part around the building some people will try to run you off. I always fish out in the open field areas.
