I like P-line 100% fluoro. better than the Trilene 100% fluoro and the P-line comes in a 250 yard spool so it is one of the lower priced fluoro's per yard. I do use Invizx and P-line Halo. Halo has the most memory of the three lines I mentioned but it is very strong and I use it for jigs.

I always spray it with KVD line conditioner. Stupid question, but how do you apply this stuff? After you spool your line on/as you're spooling it?...sorry, but a little late to the party with line conditioner..

I use the 25 # Seagar invis x and BPS fluor, but sometimes wonder if Im just waisting my money when I could be using 25 pound big game. I have some 25 pound big game on a couple of rods and fish just fine, Im not flippin with those rods but back in the day before braid and fluor there sure were a hell of alot of fish caught on mono. Do you really think fluor is that much better than mono especially for flippin. And I only fish Falcon.

Can you catch fish with mono? Sure. But flouro gives you an advantage.

Just spray it directly on the spool, Ill usually put it on the night before to give it a chance to marinate. I always spray it with KVD line conditioner. Stupid question, but how do you apply this stuff? After you spool your line on/as you're spooling it?...sorry, but a little late to the party with line conditioner..

All I use is Vicous Pro Elite and its great and alot cheaper been useing it for over a year now and no problems with it at all. The stuff is tuff as nails period the best I have used. Spray a little KVD line conditioner on the night before and a few times throughout the day and you cant beat it may not have to through the day but I do on all my line.

I dont know about the memory part,, 25 Seagar Invis x seams to have a hell of a lot of memory to me. Matter of fact all that 25# fluor seems to have a hell of a lot of memory!!!

I would adjust your reel settings a bit and spray on some KVD conditioner. I haven't had any issues with red label castability, especially 10lb. Some of the best flouro you can buy for the price. I've never used an Ardent reel though, all my stuff is Shimano.
What jerkbait are you throwing, some of them can be hard to cast with any line, especially throwing them into the wind if they don't have an internal weight.
Trilene 100% is good stuff too, but a little pricier.

I was throwing a small jerkbait with no rattles. It was a very light bait, but I have thrown it before with regular 12lb mono and no problems. I think It could have been the combo of the ardent reel and a new feel of the red label 10# that just presented a challenge to me. I usually have full control, just because of experience and my methods, but I did switch to the Ardents this year and they definately cast different than any other I have used. I'm just trying not to make the mistakes from last year with missed fish that could have been contributed from using a mono line instead of a less stretching line as flouro. When it comes down to it I just couldnt find my rythm(Zone) with the line and lure combo, although it did produce keepers.(29Jan-BLT)
