1/0 for drop shots, 3/0 for a few small worms T rigging but mostly 4/0. Flipping and pitching creature baits I usually have a 5/0 Owner Twist lock on. Carolina rigging I pretty much never catch fish on so I'm still using a 4/0 hook I tied on back in May hahahaha.

This is what I do also most of the time. For a drop shot I use a 1/0 Owner rigging hook.

I like Gamakatsu round bend hooks 3/0 to 5/0 and Owner J hooks in 1/0 to 5/0. Owner size 1 to 3/0 rigging hooks.

I also use larger wide gap hooks or specialty hooks larger than 5/0 both weighted and non weighted for the large super flukes and swim baits 6/0 up to 11/0, like the Owner Beast.

Diameter(thickness)and how it fits the bait is biggest thing for me. Thin wire w/ a lot of line out, thick wire for flipping. Looking for a good hook-up and strength on a short-line hook set

All my jigs are custom made by Real Deal Custom Tackle. I do not have a jig made with a hook smaller than a 5/0 Owner Deep Throat wide gap hook.

Tak Omori gravitates towards using smaller hooks. Where others will use a 3/0 or 4/0, he'll use a 2/0, but then again, I imagine that'd also have a lot to do with the thickness of the bait.
