I popped in to take a look and spoke to the sales rep that orders hot items not on walmarts vendor list. Basically, in his opinion, do not waste your time with anything Bomber, Rebel, or Strike King in Crankbaits. He said they are all flawed in some form or fashion whether it is the paint, eyelet not aligned, or did not come out of the mold clean. He backed it up by showing me some examples. As far as plastics go he said they are as they would be in any fishing department of any store but they lack selection in which he called it job security. Same for spinnerbaits and jigs. With the line your biggest enemy is going to be shelf life. Terminal tackle is that you get what you pay for.
The one I went to was near Lavon off of 78. The new items they had were: 4 different colors of GYB Senkos, some Excalibur cranks(not lipless), Sexy Frogs, KVD 1.0/1.5/2.0, Zman plastics, Mustad Triple Grips from sizes 2-8, Mustad Ultrapoint Widegaps, Strike King Tungsten from 1/4oz-1/2oz, Luck-E-Strike Rick Clunn Series 1-3 Square Bills, Mann's Jelly Worm, Vendetta and Vengeance rods, Skeet Reese rods and both the spinning and bait casting reels. That was all that I noticed and I was in there for quite some time. He did tell me that they are going to get an end cap of Alabama Rigs made by Mann's an that on request he can get xr25's/50's/75's lipless baits for any store. They can also carry Bandit cranks on request. Oh...and Castaway Rods are coming back too.

Support your local tackle shops and support our own! This is so true, times are hard enough for mom and pop stores. Please don't spend your money at Walmart if you have a local tackle store.
