Bryan,

Thanks, we are looking at maybe hosting a tournament on Fork. One of the last two weekends. Mark from J.C. Outdoors has contacted me and Ken from Tawakoni Bass Club has contacted me about helping out for a tournament. I am trying to get sanctioned with the SAF/TBF right now. Should be done by next week as kids get their paperwork completed.

Steve

Guys, you can't imagine the response that I have had from the kids. I have 45 kids signed up. Not all dream of being tournament fishermen/women. Yes, I have about 10+ girls signed up. About 25 of them have indicated that they want to fish tournaments. There are two and we are looking at trying to set a date in May to have an Open tournament for SAF/TBF membership teams. We are trying to get the paperwork done now. I have had an out pour of people asking to help from:

1. Being a Boat Sponsor(Coach).
2. Donating their time to help run a tournament.
3. Donating weigh-in equipment.
4. Donating their time to come out at do a seminar and speak to the kids.
5. Donating sponsorship either in the form of products or money to help.

Guys, let us make this thing happen. With all the negativity that is going in the world with our youth. This is a chance to direct some young people in the right directions and maybe make a difference in their lives. I have already set a standard for grades and conduct in class. For some of these kids it maybe their last chance to make something happen positive in their lives. We will need younger sponsors(teachers) to carry the torch and take this forward.
