sorry, was confused, I thought you said rebuilt jets... again opti is right and boatman1 also... sounds like you really need opti or tommy to look at your engine and boat setup.. that engine and prop should perform better than what you describe.. something happened to me once that a lot of people over look and think they have engine problems.. my boat would take forever to get on plane and didn't run like it usaed to.. found out it had a leak and the inner hull was full of water.. boat was carrying several hundred pounds of water in it.. opened up inner hull and drained water over an hour... hope this is something simple and easy to get fixed...good luck

mwerner...I have an 18.6 skeeter with a GT-150 on it...the prop that it came with is a 14 1/4x22...I put a 14 1/2x24 on it and it did not handle it well...dropped the rpm's on the top side and was slower out of the hole, but as far as the engine running any differnt, there was no differnce..I would get one of these guys to check it out for you...
Opti...never met you but was wondering what it would cost to rebuild a GT-150...mine is in need of one..compression is down by 20lbs and more on a couple holes..e-mail me if you need to

I would definitely try a prop with less pitch. I would ask the mechanic to borrow his and try it out myself. Your boat may have been over propped since it was new. Some people want a high pitched prop so they can "brag" about how much pitch they are turning. Just because the boat had a 24 P on it when you bought it, doesn't mean it was the right pitch for your boat.
