For me it's any bite that produces a fish on the end of my line. But I really like when fishing tx rigs or jigs that light tap, but when you set the hook there's a toad on the other end...also when they hit the jig real hard and knocks slack in the line

Freshwater, stripers hitting topwater.

Salt water, kingfish, jumping 10' in the air hitting topwater.

Frog bite.

Swimbait bites are hard to beat. Not the little jointed ones either, I'm talking 8" Osprey, Hudds, and the like. Especially when they really hammer it. It's like a freight train grabbing your line at 50mph.

Jig bite-feel nothing then the line starts to move aweay ever so slowly...

I love "the Explosion" when you're fishing a big topwater and a bass just explodes out of the water to get it and you hook up with it.

Sand Bass.Pound for pound,they fight harder than any fish.Even the dinks make you think you have a big one.

Topwater bite! Love that explosion on a buzzbait or frog.

100# topwater yellowfin on a big popper!
like you dropped a vw in the water, then set the hook, and
watch all your line disappear under 25# drag as the tuna heads for Cuba.
THAT'S what hooking up to a freight train feels like.

I love watching a big bass come out of the pads and smash a Spro frog. I also love when a smallmouth hammers a crankbait.

Love topwater fishing, but the trap bite is where I have a lot of confidence.
