Might as well be in the back waters of the Red River. I hate running that lake. Too much of a pucker factor to enjoy it!

Yeah after all this rain I'll be very careful during anglers quest saturday. If your running outside main lake from kickapoo, when you clear the channels you have two huge stump flats in front of you that if u dont have a trail gps'd threw you will mess up in a hurry. Your best bet until u learn it is yo go about 20-30 yards off the docks on the point towards 190 out to main lake. I STRONGLY suggest idling around to learn this area. One wrong move and you lose a few grand.

The Jungle is silted in completely! I never saw it in its hay day, but know alot of guys that did fish it back in the day. Ive been fishin the lake for over 10 yrs and havent even seen a boat over there. I tried to get into the creek at the southwest side awhile back and it was so silted in I gave up.

Cut my teeth in that part of the lake. Lots of good memories from the late 70's and early 80's. Have not been there in years. Seems like that area really suffered after a very large water hyacinth bloom choked it off in the mid 80's. I dont think it ever really recovered. Have heard that the area in the back of the jungle is completely inaccessible.
