bite has slowed down alot. was down there from 8 am till about noon and only managed 6 with only 1 keeper. there was a BUNCH of people down there today!

Dragging solid pink was working great, way better than chartreuse...As for today..

I decided to try banking it today, so I went to academy to get me one of those fancy crappie poles. All I could find was a Mr Crappie Slab Shaker 10' for 31.99 or something like. So I took it and hit the creek, caught nothing and ended up snapping the rod when I got hung on a stump. So I took it back to academy and got my money back. Tomorrow it's back to work, so maybe I can try again next weekend.

Well headed to the creek today, was walking down the dirt road a spotted a turkey... Had my rod with braid that had a jig on it already...so i sneeked up on him to about 35 feet, and slung my jig over at him...Sure enough!! I caught a turkey he took off with it, i set the hook! Game on! I fought him for about 2 minutes then reeled close in on him a wacked him over the head... So i figure i'd just go back home, with more meat than i caught in two minutes rather than all the meat i've caught out that creek in two months... LMAO...!!
