$1,000 per day for two guys. Tell me this is a joke right?!?!? It is all relative. I bet I have spent over $100K on fishing in the last ten years and have not caught a 13...or another 13...or an 11...or even a 9.5. So $500 per man for a day where someone else has done it does not seam unreasonable. Jason

It is $800.00 for a full day for two and lunch is included. Facts are as follows: You fish out of his boat and he is with you the whole time...he ran the trolling motor for us and maybe made 10 cast the whole day...otherwise just sat, talked about his lake and management and helped with the proper handling of these giant, magnificent fish. I will tell you that he is a no-nonsense type of guy who will not tolerate someone who does not respect his property, his lake , his rules and his fish....and yes, they are his fish. They are pure Florida strain that he bought many years ago to build the world-class fishery he has today. The owner is one of the nicest men I have ever met with a wealth of knowledge about lake and fish management...I enjoyed listening to him talk about what all he has done to achieve his goal. We all know Fouzman fishes here but you would be amazed at some of the other names that have as well and, I would suspect, many have achieved there PB at this lake as well.
With regard to comparison of guided trips on other lakes....I say it is comparable. I have been to all of them...Fork, Falcon, Amistad, O.H.Ivie and Rayburn just to name a few and fished with some of the best guides available over the past few years and had still not topped an 8-11 as my big fish. My goal this whole time had been a DD but I also learned a whole lot form these great guides along the way.
For the record, I am 53 years old and have been fishing my whole life. Have done the club tournaments for more years than I can remember, fished BASS Federation Tour one year and feel like I can hold my own. This lake gave me the opportunity to make one of my dreams into a reality yesterday. I will tell you this....this lake is just like any other out there in that it can humble you as well. You cannot make them bite if they are not in the mood....however, you cannot catch a monster fish if they are not there either. What this man has built gave me the opportunity to catch one of those monster fish, I was fortunate and got to catch 3 in the same day!

Many men dream of catching a bass over 10...I know, because I have spent more money than I care to count in pursuit of just that fish and Im still chasing my dream!
To break that record in GRAND fashion with an 11 and bookend 13's is something I cant really process...You are a blessed man Steve and for what its worth, you have now made the very short, but illustrious list of my TFF hero's!
I have heard good things about you, so I can say with some confidence as JR did...It couldnt have happened to a nicer guy!
Congrats again Bud...Thats a day that will be tough to repeat, but if it can be done, it will de done there!

Thanks for the kind words Stax08....I keep waiting on Mark Pack to chime in, I caught all of them on the LFT 6" Hyper Worm! My son-in-law caught one on a red eye shad and a couple on a Swim jig but ALL of the rest came on the LFT Hyper Worm.

LOL...thanks JR, I kept waiting on that comparison. For the record, I am 6'5" and 290 if that helps any on the fish comparison sizes.

LOL....he wanted to catch one of his own for sure. We will be back to try again another day.....the beauty of this place is that it is 30 minutes from where he lives.
I can't tell you how much money I have spent in pursuit of this goal and how many miles I have driven... just to achieve it basically in my own backyard. It is kind of funny when you think about it.
For the record guys, I will be back on Fork in a couple of weeks and back down at Falcon in February because it is what I love to do.

Fouz and I fished the pond back in June. It is a wonder of the world just like Falcon. It's hard to describe. But as stated above if the fish shut down they SHUT DOWN completely. So that is the gamble you take.
I know Kelly Jordan and Pack went a few months ago and had maybe 1 or 2 bites the entire day I believe. You would swear there are no fish in the pond when the fish get lockjaw. Fouz went today and had I think 4 fish total.
But this place has more big fish per acre then anything in the universe, SO it's a roll of the dice. The conditions have to be good.
If I were rich I'd fish this place every weekend, but I'm not so I'd rather fish falcon which is way cheaper.
And as stated above, Mike the owner is a true genius, He achieved something with his pond that no one ever has. Which is why you have to show 1000% respect. ie... Bending barbs back on trebles, and a whole bunch of other rules which are totally necessary. That is how he produced this masterpiece. Ive been told that Mike will not even allow his family members to fish this place without him in the boat supervising.
Somehow I got left alone for an hour though to fish by myself when Fouz and Mike had to run into town. lol.
It's truly a wonder of the world, but extremely pricey. But just like everything else you get what you pay for.

Steve,
Well said. I lease 70 private lakes in the state of texas and have had the opportunity to fish on other well managed private lakes inside and outside our club. However, I know of no better private lake for catching true tropy bass in the state. Moreover, a lake like this that is open to fish is something that is unheard of. There are hundreds of lakes, especially in east texas where landowners are spending 10's of thousands and in some cases hundred's (yes plural) of thousands of dollars to grow trophy bass. 99.9% of these lakes are not accessable, unless you are friends with the landowner. And you better be really good friends. I fished with Mike, the owner of camelot bell last July for only a couple of hours and caught a 10 lb fish on boga grips. He hung a bigger fish. All of this in 1 hour and 45 minutes in 100 degree heat. Fouz caught a 14 lb fish a few days earlier. I know everything is relative, but having the chance, and a really good chance to catch a 13 lb or bigger fish for $400 per man is a real bargain. You better get it while you can, because the fish will only get smarter and the prices will only get higher. I think this opporunity is a steal.
