I have no desire to fish Fork, so I will let out a little secret. I guarantee there are huge quantities of monster fish (living and feeding under these bridges. If I were to fish Fork going forward on a regular basis I would spend 100% of my time throwing Crappie Type Swimbaits at those bridge Pillars.

Proof

A few years back I was hung over on a sunday morning recovering from a festive night at the Cove and decided not fish to that day. My neighbor at Fork BamaMan invited me to crappie fish, something I have never done.

After being down 15-0 on Crappie I finally hook a crappie. A MONSTER Bass comes up under the crappie swallows it whole and then the fight was on with a Zebo push button real. 2 mins later snap.. This happened again with another monster fish swallowing a huge crappie, same results on these push button reels. Nice drag system btw.

I come back to Fork the next week throwing HUGE Crappie Swimbaits, within 5 casts I boat a 7.5lber.

It's not rocket science. Go fish exactly where the big fish live.

Here is the bait I was using.

Follow this advice and thank me later my friends...

FishKiller caught a nice smallmouth under a bridge at Squaw Creek before. He will post the pic later I'm sure.

Yes, that is the big storm crappie swimbait. It's a few ounces, maybe a 1/2 pound.

Oh, nevermind. I was throwing the smaller single treble version. They look ridiculous in the water but they will get some big bites.

Yep. And a big ol' ticket if the game warden sees you doing it too, lol.
