I don't understand this statement. Is Fork somehow not up to your standards? I hope I never lose the desire to fish Fork.

I bought one of those about a year ago with the same intentions, but never got around to fishing it, plus I've heard those storm crappie swimbaits swim action isn't near worth throwing.

No secret to Mr. Thomas! As seen on the "Lake Fork Visitors Guide".

I wouldn't be surprised if the lake record lives under one of the bridges. Some of these giants stay there year round and just pound on the shad, crappie and brim. They don't have to move around much for food, and it's a very good habitat. I remember back when divers were here checking underwater bridge structure and told me they seen some bass down there that looked as broad as they were long. Tricking some of these into hitting a arttifial bait is hard to do though because of their easy access to food.

The biggest bass I have ever seen in my life(was under one of the bridges), followed a 2 pounder up to the surface(hooked up). You could tell it was thinking about dinner. its belly was hanging underneath it like a bowling ball... the episode is forever engrained into my brain!

Not just under bridges.....

Found these 2 floundering on the surface over one of my brushpiles in early Feb. My buddy scooped em up and I took the crappy pics. Sorry, cellphone only in the boat.

The bass and crappie both swam away when released.

Here's one of the more famous "invasive fish species" from another lake caught on a bridge.

I agree whole hartedly. I was scanning a ridge with my side immaging a few years ago and spotted a school of crappie holding in the limbs of a standing tree, out to the side were several large fish holding by it. a few cast later both of my clients hooked up with a 7 and a 9 lber. Worked the area a while longer without a bite and decided to scan again, the crappie were gone and with them went the bass.

It's easier for him to catch the "dumb" fish at Falcon.

Here are the SIMPLE RULES:

1. Artificial Baits Only....Dan want's the challenge of making one strike.
2. Guides must be aware that all spots may be caught on Video and Pictures. No blacking out of areas, everything is fair game to make it better read for the TFF'ers.
3. You have ONE DAY, they we move on the next Guide no multiple days in a row. We will go down the list of guides in order they sign up.
4. No sight fishing...Dan understands how hard it would be passing up a 10 lb Bed fish, he just doesn't want it to be that way. We all have our opinions on that and that's his stance. Lets don't knock him for it.

If Dan Catches a 10lb fish you will receive $2500 right then, if he doesn't Dan will buy you a drink of your choice.

Lake Fork Guide Clint Wright is the first up and will attempt this challenge on March 21st. All other guides who are interested contact me and we will work on a schedule.

Clint Good Luck and let the Games Begin <---I just always wanted to say that.
