We went went to Monticello Tuesday, caught 40-45. A whole lot of them were little dinkers caught towards the end of the day at the bridge with decent ones mixed in. We also caught a few on a point first thing that morning. And found a few on beds in a cut mid-day. We caught a few there and found a lot of swimmers, a LOT of fish were not locked in. Wednesday we went to Welsh. Caught absolutely ZERO on the north end, a few at the outlet, a few at the dam and several on a single point...probably around 20 total for the day. Now today we didn't fish nearly as hard but we did run up to see if they were more locked on the beds. We found 1 fish there and it was a pain to catch. That was the only fish of the day (half day).
I also managed to run my Terrova into a bridge Tuesday and break the locking mechanism. We thought we fixed the problem but we were wrong. Driving around 40ish mph down lake Welsh on Wednesday the trolling motor auto deployed blistering my shaft, nearly in half. We managed to keep fishing though, but by the end of the trip, the shaft looks like it's about to come undone.
