Dang I should have went to a pond lol. Went to Athens and threw the whole tackle box from finess baits to fast baits trying to get a reaction bite. only got 2 bites and caught one. At least I didn't get skunked thankfully!

Wanted to try Mountain Creek Lake and the ramp was too shallow of a grade for my short wheel base so I couldn't launch. Decided to give Joe Pool a try and stunk it up...think I might have caught a cold and a buzz though!

Went to the local creek this morning for a couple of hours.
It was muddied up from the rain we had yesterday (not that Im complaining).
Ive threw everything in and only caught a small 8" LMB on a finesse worm.

Went to Falcon today...drove from San Antonio at 2am and launched at the south end from the state park. The north wind was howling down the lake around 15-20 mph....we were heading to Tigres and about a quarter of the way there after battling 3-5ft rollers we decided to call it quits for the south end of the lake for our safety...our bilge pump is broke right now and we didn't wanna starting taking water over the bow without a working bilge. It was 45 degrees and windy as can be. We pulled out of the state park and headed to the north end and dumped in where it was a lot more protected by the winds and the wind had even changed a bit. We fished from 8am-5:30pm and it started raining more than a sprinkle. There were three of us fishing throwing the book at em and we managed two fish the whole day. One caught on a jig and the other on a worm. We fished shallow 3-10ft, mid 10-20 ft, and deep 20+....the jig fish came in about 8 ft of water off a point with smaller rocks, and the worm fish came off a steep bluff in 25 ft. We tried deep cranking' points and ledges with and without trees, jigging spoons offshore in 25-35 ft where we found shad on the graph, jig fished all three depths, slow rolled spinner baits, drop shotted, shaky head, DD22s, jerk baits, huge worms, small worms, main lake, in coves, rocky points with and without trees, in the trees, in river channels and creek bends............it was one of the most miserable days on the water I've had in a long time weather and fishing wise....our trip went from a 65 sunny with 6-10mph wind forecast to drastically changing in two days to 15-20mph winds and 50, and then the final forecast was for 61 and partly sunny. We got 45 degree with complete overcast 15-20mph winds and scattered rain. We still had fun and I'm still thawing out, but we were supposed to stay all weekend but the have the same weather for tomorrow so we decided to just come home and cut our losses.
A bad day of fishing is still better than a good day at work.
