Does anyone know what all of that construction in Murrell Park is all about? Are they building new roads? New ramps?

Two Starbucks in Murrel? Sweet! That'll be convienent for a recharge when I'm out carp fishing again some day....Maybe if they build it close enough to the water I can just get some coffee and sit at the table and fish...

Lol. Seriously though, what part of the park is all the construction going in at?

After you pass the stop sign as you enter the park on the right, looks like they leveled out a road that leads behind the restrooms close to the other boat ramp,I just figured they were putting in a few more picnic tables, don't know for sure.

bassmaster,

The fishing was great Thursday night/Friday morning (2 AM to 7 AM) during the full moon. I lost track of how many I caught after around 20. Almost all came on top-water. Nothing real big, biggest was 2.2, but it sure was fun.

It is not very often that my shoulders and arms start hurting from catching too many LMB. It was almost like sandbass fishing.

That was the only time I have been out in almost 3 weeks. It's just been to darn hot. I'm saving my days off for October, November and December.

What were you fishing? Docs, stumps etc? If you would be so kind. I will probably try it on LL.

I was just fishing any underwater, shallow, structure I could think of. It was night so I couldn't really see it, just going by memory in places I had caught fish before. Boulders, stumps, humps, etc. The only place I didn't catch fish was during the 30 minutes or so I spent at the south side of the dam along the bank towards the marina. Got absolutely no bites there.

Remember, this was during a full moon. It won't happen again until August 18.

I knew I was going to have a good night because of all of the activity I saw under the lights and in the slips when I was walking to my boat at Twin Coves Marina. I saw bigger fish then I caught.

My full report was here:
