Bass N Bucks runs a great tournament and the pay out is fair. Nothing is for nothing in this business. Things are tough these days in this poor economy. Lack of water/lack of work funds.I expect the tournament draw will be down just for that alone.
Great Job keep it up ! See you next month.

Texas Smoke, I appreciate all input from any angler(s). First let me give you more information to digest.
* The Bud Light brand was not and is not currently a sponsor of the Bass N Bucks program. So, there is no extra money coming from them for the Bass N Bucks tournaments. BNB will be two Divisions within the BLT program but it will be operated separately with its own set of sponsors.
* Bass N Bucks was able, in the past, to get boats/motors from Ranger and Yamaha. They both dropped Bass N Bucks from their sponsorship. This action prompted the owner of BNB to try and find sponsors. In steps the BLT program.
* The BLT program made an agreement to provide two Legend/Mercury boats for the two BNB Championships. It is not, in my opinion, appropriate to disclose what a sponsor(s)is providing to our trail. This is their private business. However, I can assure you the boats/motors will cost well above $30,000 for each boat and motor. Having said that, the BLT program took on the risk of guaranteeing the boats as part of the partnership with the previous BNB owners. As I have stated in most every post, the BLT program passes on 100% of the sponsors money and prizes to the anglers.
* Since, I assume, you were not at the BNB tournament, you would not have seen the sponsor prizes given out at the tournament. This would have put the payout above 75%. Also, BNB T-shirts were given out to all anglers who entered the tournament.
* The BNB program, in the past, had very few sponsors contributing money to the purchase of the boats. Therefore, it will be up to the new BNB/BLT partnership to get sponsors who can help pay for the boats/motors. In the mean time, I will personally foot the bill for the Championship prizes that is not covered by the angler entry fees.
This reminds me of politics and news reporters. The goal is to try and get all the dirt you can and sell all the newspapers you can with a good story. Sometimes the story sells better when all the true facts are left out. A persons name in limelight is a powerful incentive to some. I prefer to stay in the background and do the best I can to help my sons provide a solid, fair, honest, open tournament program. Some will like it and some will not. That is your choice.
The BLT and BNB tournament Divisions will continue to be open and honest.
Thank you for your interest, BLT/BNB staff
