I would love to join but i fish atleast 3-5 times a week and cant justify 35-55 dollars a day. Now if i was only fishing once a week this would be great. Maybe one day the daily rates will drop drastically.

As much as I would like you to fish with us all the time. You can fish with us onee a week and fish your other spots twice a week. Most of our members fish 5 to 10 times a year.

I think it would be a good deal if the membership fee was less, for me it would be $595(family) this year, however next year is a good deal at $385 and believe it or not my wife even said it's worth at that $385 rate. Maybe next year

Ohh can you bring yourown pond jumper?

Most lakes have a boat provided. Usually just a simple jon boat. Some of the higher end lakes have larger boats. You are welcome to bring your own boat to most lakes. Most lakes do not have a concrete boat ramp, so larger boats will not work. I think a pond jumper is a two man platic boat? If so, it should work on all our lakes.

Back in the eighties when I was developing the Lakes of Danbury and trying to fill a large membership roster, I learned that the husband did not need to be "sold" he was already sold, or he wouldn't be there in the first place looking to sign up.

It was the wife that needed to be sold, and it wasn't all that difficult....a little bit of coaching, a cast or two to the right "spot" and a four and a half pounder on her line, done deal!

Problem was, we could always do a great job of coaching wives how to catch bass, they would listen close and do what they were shown. Husbands, OTOH, "already knew how to fish" and would be dang near un-coachable. At least up and until outfished by their wives.

Than you were working with Kenny Zwar then eh? He got super excited with our products about a year and a half ago, said "these cribs were going to change habitat as we know it" "I can sell literally tons of these"

Are you still working with him in any capacity?

Many, many years ago......

Nowadays I work for myself as an aquatic resource consultant, service provider to aquatic resource interests, fishing and hunting club operator, and fish hatchery operator.

Although I see his brother a lot when doing heavy earth moving around my operations, I haven't seen Kenny in a long time.

Plus, I would not be the best person to ask about him......

Just a quick comment to Steve at PWF....the lakes I see with the worst aquatic weed problems all have one thing in common, a boat ramp. If boats are coming and going, tney need to have clean, weed free trailers.

So I was thinking back on this thread from months ago as I read this topic this morning:

http://texasfishingforum.com/forums/ubbt...que#Post7366760

A PWF membership sounds a whole lot better than the cost of owning a boat and paying for tournaments! I just want to catch fish.
