I've seen fish on Worth migrate back to where they were caught, granted thats only about 7 miles or so from 820 to the nature center.
Lake Worth Workingmans Tournaments Every Wednesday from April 2nd to end of August $50 entry + $10 Side Pot - 100% Payout 6pm - 9pm

I doubt enough big bass that spend the day in a livewell survive the following week anyways... Our bass boats dont arnt half as big as they should be to support a 5 fish stringer on falcon. Exactly why our club has a 3 fish limit for individual competitions, or a 5 fish limit for team tournaments!

Using "fish care" as reasoning for a three fish limit is a joke. Folks that can't take care of five aren't going to take care of three.

Well, it is amazing how bass will find their original location. They sometimes seem to return very quickly as well--at least thats what some data seems to show. 30 miles is a pretty darn good test!

Fish mortality rate is a whole different subject all together, which we as anglers have the ability to control. From my experience, most tourney anglers are pretty good about fish health. But we can probably do better.

When my son, Travis and I fished the Bass Champs Championship last month on Falcon, we had a "whopping" 8 fish for 19 pounds! Wow, we got our butts whipped. So instead of bringing them back to the states, we elected to let them stay in Mexico because they were without their GREEN CARDS!

I remember an infisherman article where smallmouth had even traveled through locks up in the great lakes. Pretty interesting stuff.

Come on guys, use your heads. Of course bass go back to their home water, (or Mexico). If not, there would be 900,000 bass around Lake Fork Marina and The Minnow Bucket.
P.S. 30 miles is nothing for a school of bass to travel.

At one of our club tourneys, during the spawn, fishing was kinda tough because of weather conditions and such. One guy found some bed fish that would bite on day one, went back and caught the same fish on day two....identical weights each day, and he won....Those fish only had a couple of miles to travel over night, but they were there first thing the next morning...and bit again!

If this story is true (and I'm not saying it's not) it is extremely interesting. It would make for a great story at the weight in.

I could see it happening. When bass are locked on a bed you can catch them multiple times. How animals find their way back to certain places is a mystery.

Poses the question: how far could one of Robbie Rose's fish swim to return home?
Never take life seriously. Nobody gets out alive anyway.
