Really, I hate to hear that. The drive to Squaw Creek is too far for me.

Flex, since this guy says we can't catch anymore big fish I might not be there the day after thanksgiving. I might just sell the boat now.

I think I saw you Senko.. We had three men in the boat and one was a muy grande.Been a real long time since I fished there, and I can't figure out why

There are plenty a 21'-23', 7 and 8 lbers in monti

Can't wait to see the Winter Monti fish this year! You guys sure put a whoopin' on em' last year in the Winter. Monti and Squaw are probably the two best power plant lakes to fish in Texas.

Squaw from what hear is more of a numbers lake like welsh, didnt hear of many big bass out there last winter.

Flex we went by there sat and saw a bunch of boats launching so yes i would say they are both launch able..

Thanks for the report! Taking off Friday and was thinking about going to Fork, but with the cold front coming in, you may have just changed my mind to go give Monticello a visit! Back was aching last weekend so much I didn't fish, and now I'm aching for some fish therapy!

I'll just break it down real quick for everyone so you know.

If you want to catch lot's of fish = Welsh
If you want your average size fish to be 2-3lbs = Squaw
If you want the chance of catching 7-9lb fish = Monti
