Just by me.... Good rule. One on one. I guess I'm to old for all this new fancy stuff but it just seems to me let's keep it simple, yet as challenging as possible. If you folks want to fish for stripers...... go for it. Not me. Guess I'm an old foggey or just a traditionalist. Either way, I'm proud of my fishing morals.

As long as everybody is clear and playing by the same rules as they are listed , it should not be a issue. If there is a rule change, i would hope it is made very clear at the start of new season.

What is an alabama rig? I've been down in the OT for too long?

Great! Them more rules about banning techniques for tournament fishing the better. Tournaments kill the fun of fishing. Jesus did not intend his fundamental teaching of others to fish to feed their families, to turn into a competition of us running our thousands of dollar rigs across a lake to disrespect our kinsmen by cutting each other off, driving over lines, and having no respect for others' serenity while enjyoining His creation as the world passes by.

PUT THAT IN Y'ALLS PIPE AND SMOKE IT!

Not you, Mark since I appreciate your help, but this tournament lifestyle is getting out of hand. JUST FISH TO ENJOY BEING OUT THERE

Did they ban HydroWaves too? I don't see the point in banning the A-rig when the push-of-a-button on electronics are legal to use to manipulate fish behavior.

Yep, media has always been against the hydro-wave or bio sonix.

I have never understood why thoughsince all the other big trails allow it but its their call.

Pretty wild...all I can say.

You can have 6 or 9 hooks on a crankbait or jerkbait. Like mentioned above people drop shot and crawl a jig at the same time. Donkey Rig has been around for years.

I guess 9 hooks is okay....and two baits was okay.

But have 5 baits with 5 hooks and it's over the line......and rules get defined.

Reminds me of high school....all the "new" rules come into play when someone pushes the envelope a little too much. Also reminds me of our piddly governement right now! hammer

We should also ban caffine in tournaments! coffee

I think they should do away with all rules concerning how you catch the fish. The only rule should be that you catch them within the law of the state where you are fishing. Including live bait. Why ban something because it catches fish better. If you don't want to fish an Alabama rig then don't, just don't whine because you were beat by someone who used it. All this talk of being a traditionalist and such is a load of [censored]. There is nothing traditional about tournament fishing. Traditional fishing is doing whatever it takes to catch fish to feed your family.

Why ban it? Just say only one of the four baits may have a hook. The fish hit the middle bait 99% of the time anyway.

Not much different than spinnerbaits with four blades, etc.

Bingo. Somewhere, someone is working a spinnerbait with four spread arms and willow leaf blades. Hart already has one with two arms.
