I went out there twice this weekend. Caught two bull reds (both 38") Saturday, and many other smaller fish. Sunday, I was shut out on the bull reds, but on one cast of the 4 hook sabiki rig, I caught 2 17" spanish macks which provided a decent fight. I also caught (earlier in the week) a 4 foot black tip.
I can freely state that a 38" bull red fights a lot better than a 4 foot black tip.
The pier is really nice and will only get better. The people who are working there seem to really appreciate the customers. They have a Facebook page to get many more pictures the hours and rules.
