Hard to beat Mary's out in Strawn. M&M in North Fort Worth is also great.

Heard about the cfs in Strawn months ago and decided to go there last fall. Went out of my way on the way to Midland to try it. Bad deal....it was tastless, greasey and only luke warm.
Won't stop there again.

Had one from Dot's Coffee Shop again last night. Still good as it was the last time.
CFS, coleslaw, beans and mashed taters for $7.95. Good, cheap and plenty of grub.

Had a $13 CFS the other day at B.J.'s Brewhouse that was fancy smancy type of thing but wasn't bad. Gravy was good but as for the steak I've had better.

Had Goodsons back in the 80s and thought it was the best. I've had it a few times recently and didn't think it was much. Had Twin Peaks the other day and it is really good. The steak was pounded very flat and the size of a large plate. Only complaint is the vegetables are buried under the steak.

Never been to Mary's but on my next trip out to Lubbock I'm going to check it out.
Went to Matt's El Rancho and so far that is the best CFS I've ever had.

YES! Not to mention the garlic crusted steaks stacked a foot high on the plates! But I wasn't sure if it was still there. Glad to hear it is!

Dots is awesome. Was driving home from the Astros game the other night and wasn't even hungry but stopped in and ate anyway. Good CFS and pretty cheap.

Max,s Cafe in Tilden , Tx. On Hwy.16 on the way to Falcon or Choke Canyon. Very good food and an awesome chicken fried steak.

Joe's BBQ in Alvin TX has an amazing Chicken Fried Steak. The BBQ is great too, but I always get the CFS when I am in the area.
