I made a mistake with the anchors, I wasn't smart enough to use FLOATING ROPE when I rigged them.
That's important when you are on the water. I don't care for floating rope. I perfer to use a bouy on the line. That way if I have to ditch it to fight with a big ol cat I can come back and find it with out 50' of rope floating across the water for people to get hung up on.

I havent found it so far but I am still looking.
It went down in thick grass so I might not get it back.

Academy has a small float sor about $2. I use them on my drift socks. I also tied a clasp on the end of flap so I just clip them on. I think I will do the same for my anchors that I will make....I like your design.
Just need to find some 1gal milk jugs..since I don't drink milk.

Just found this thread and am excited there are "others" like us. TFF needs to make another forum site for these type boats. I have a 10' pelican and love it. I fish it weekly down here in the San Antonio area. Hope to keep in touch with you guys and share information and stories. I will post pics of my setup soon.

I asked them and they decided this was the best place for this thread.
I agree with you, it should have it own section, but if no one posts stuff then it will never happen.

I have asked and tho it is not tabled yet, they may reconsider. I think if more people msged the ops, and requested a buster boat forum, maybe we can have our own thread.

I've been jug lining like a wild man going to the outhouse. Gotta fill up the freezer with cats so I can focus on trophy blues and creek crappie.

Just bought a used Pelican Predator - it has old roll-on bedliner on the bottom and half way up the side of the hull. About 10% of it has started to blister and peel. I guess the prior owner was trying to preserve the bottom from scuffing by covering the hull with roll-on bedliner. Figured I'd just peel most of the loose, flaking stuff off. Under the flaking bedliner, it looks like the hull was lightly sanded, which apparently didn't help the roll-on bed liner premanently stick. After peeling off and lightly scraping most off, I'm thinking of using the wife's iron to try to smooth some of the unsightly sandpaper scratches on the side of the hull. Worse case scenario, I can recoat with fresh bedliner, but know it wont stay on indefineitely. I'll post some before/after photos for anyone who is contenplating doing this to theirs. Any comments?
