I was on the water Tuesday and Friday for a few hours each. Tuesday produced nine LMB, nothing of any size, the largest about 1 ½ lbs. Friday only produced two small bass.
I worked some of the creeks from as far back as I could get up to the mouths, but the Bass do not appear to be moving up in the creeks yet.
Anyone else finding the same thing?

Was out Sunday morning for about 2 1/2 hrs and boated 10 with largest in the 2.5 lbs range (several dinks)
Up against the bank in 3-5 ft around mouth of creek.
all relating to wood, none from grass.
PM me to let me know how it was!

Haven't been out there in awhile but I would be backing up and fishing 5-12 feet if you are catching dinks up shallow.

I went yesterday evening for a few hours. I went to the back as well and did not catch anything. There was no shad or any activity.

I don't understand how a lake just all of a sudden sucks? It seems to be the case but it use to fish better.

Seems a bit funny the bashing Ray Bob has taken on here lately. Took 30lbs to win in June with bass champs. I won and placed in several tourneys there last year with bags from 20lbs to 30lbs. Yes the lake is not what it use to be, but it is still a very good bass fishery. Having guided on the lake for 10 years before I had to give it up 4 years ago I can tell you the lake has its own personallity. If you plan on going out and beating the banks all day with the same old spinner bait and soft plactic technique you used 10 years ago. Plan on poor results. I feel I know the lake about as well as anyone and I dont wack them everytime I go, but there are very few places where you can go and wack them everytime. Its not that complicated of a lake to figure out. Follow the bait. Lots of small shad in the creeks now up shallow. So what do you do. Go to the creeks and down size your baits. Larger shad at the mouth of the creeks on break lines. So what do you do. Medium diving cranks and spinner baits near break lines.
You Ray Bob haters just keep hating. Its nice not having 1000 yahoos with no boat etiguette all over the lake.

I understand how you feel Jigit....I personally like RR and consider it my home lake...after fishing a long while all over Texas I will say that I have never seen a lake with patterns that change so dramatically day to day. I think thats what frustrates people.
sure frustrates me at times.

Yep thats a great way of putting it. I cant wait to get back out after this cold snap. Crank bait pattern should be getting real good real soon.
