Brian we have never met but from what I have seen you are one of the most generous guys on TFF. I have seen you offer to help people in many situations. JMO but probably time to step back a bit and take better care of yourself so you will be there later for your young family.
I am very glad you made it out of this and seem to be recovering. I took Naprosyn for several years for a herniated disk in my lower back before finally having surgery to correct the issue.
A few years later I started having internal type bleeding symptoms and turns out I now have Ulcerative Colitis which I really feel was at least aggravated if not caused by the Naprosyn. It is well under control with meds but I have to take it easy on too much greasy food and not overdo it with alcohol. I have come to the conclusion that all NSAI's can hurt you more than help you in the long run so I try not to even take Tylenol unless absolutely necessary.
Follow the doctors recommendations and hopefully this will be just a bump in your long road...

Glad you're better, Brian. I've been on NSAID's myself for too many years for my back, and know that stomachs don't like them. Heal well.

Turns out that taking Aleve for 10 years everyday for a bad hip is a bad thing.
I had been feeling sick for a couple of days but on Wednesday it all came to a head. I was at work sweating something terrible and just felt bad. I drove home from Addison to McKinney and several times I had to pull over to kind of put myself back together mentally. By the time I got home I fell flat on my face in my bedroom. Next thing I know I wake up and feel sick. I crawl to the toilet and start puking blood. I puked so much blood that I had to switch to a trash can at some point. Luckily my wife was there with me as I blacked out 4 times. When the EMT's arrived they said I barely had much blood pressure and barely had a pulse. I heard them tell my wife that they were affraid that I had bled out so she needed to step back so they could get me to the hospital. Well after having the blood from my stomach pumped with a tube down my hose that you could water your lawn with I had the pleasure of having a bunch of huge clips clamped to an ulcer in my stomach. The whole process entailed 2 MRI's, 1 Cat Scan, 2 Xrays, and think I counted they took my blood 19 times.
I lost a ton of blood and still feel like dog [censored] but Im glad to be alive. I TRULY thought that was it and I was a dead man. I thank God that Im alive and Sherry doesnt get to spend all that Life Insurance money just yet lol.
I NEED to get out and go fishing. It's been since Easter since Ive even wet a line... Man I hate to miss a week! I don't like hearing that about aleve, its my drug of choice. Glad to see you are on the way to recovery. Prayers sent for a speedy recovery
