Wax the boat 3-4 times a year. I only use mequires(spell check). I use their cleaner and spray wax. Boat is an 06 and still shines like new.

I use Zymol Marina to wax my boat. BassBoatSaver to wipe it down and keep it looking good between waxes. Typically wax every three to four months, depending on use. Oh, and What do you use? You don't have a boat fouz....

I use either meguires cleaner wax or Mothers synthetic wax every 6-8 weeks and BBS in between. I wipe it down with a spray before and after the lake.

I usually get it two big cleanings every year where I take everything out take to the care wash, clean compartments, bilge, etc... then give it two coats of wax. Other than that, it will get a quick wash at home and just wiped down when it comes out of the water.

Thanks for the help guys. I recognize many of you from other posts/topics. Just want to let you know you guys have cost me a fortune over the past 6 mos but you've definitely helped my fishing tremendously. I appreciate it!

Mine had oxidation so I went to west marine and they hooked me up with some buffing compound anda orbital buffer and told me how to do it. I guess it took a couple hours but the boat looked like new except for the deep gouges.

Sorry this might be a dumb question but does it hurt to wax the bottom pad? My basscat has some erosion like striations from high speed runs on the pad which need to be filled I guess.
Heard pros and cons about it.

Heard pros and cons about it. Waxing the pad will slow you down.

From what I've read on sites like scream and fly etc, waxing will only have a detrimental effect on a boat like a bullet/gambler/stroker/allison running in the 90's etc. On a standard 70mph bass boat it doesn't really have any real negatives. I don't know myself, just repeating what I've heard.

Once a year I give her a good lick of elbow grease and use either Pro-Tec or Collonite.
