I mostly fish from my kick-boat. I also use float tubes. and kayaks... You do have to adjust your casting style. The sitting on the ground is a good suggestion.

Super8mm, Yes it is very dense. Dense enough that I could take a sander to it to round the edges and smooth out blemishes from cutting out the sitting area. You do want to coat it to minimize damage from handling and the occasional stump. I used an elastomeric roof paint from Lowes. It dries like a rubber skin.

I looked at some similar to that the other day at bass pro Bass Bug, My GT bike could pull it but I may have a heck of a time stopping does that handle the wind ok or is it a bit shallow?

Super8mm - Definitely higher than a tube. I am six foot and about 240 and only from about my mid-shins down are in the water. The PVC pipe serves a good foot rest when I am anchored and want to dry out a little.

thanks ScottEvil I will have to think that over, do you have any pic of it? it is deflated of course but has depth finder and rod holder
