only thing you folks have to remember is the a/a gear will float ya and give you a chance of surviving a dip in 40 degree water.Accidents happen and for the money I'll take my artic/a any day...used to use my deer hunting gear till got to thinking about trying to pull myself and 100 pounds of wet layers back in the boat..cheap insurance!!!!!!!!!!

I love my artic armor for several years now
If you have never worn it and tested the floating then you may be in a suprise. 2-3 years ago in the summer i took it out and jumped in to test and it works perfect. But getting back in the boat was another story. All those big pockets fill up and the suit itself. Not sure of the added weight but it was enough to make me struggle a bit even with ladder. But for warmth its great and for that cold spray on the boat ride its worth every cent.

I have seen the Arctic Armor and I like it. But for the money, I think it's best to dress in layers. As long as you remember to NOT wear cotton and get yourself a "hard shell" for the outside you will be good.

Its not for everyone but ive done the layers and its a pain. This fat boy lost 160 lbs and it lost my natural insulation. Lol. Takes so many layers to keep warm i cant hardly move and its just a PITA to do anything. The armor gives me less layers and keeps me warm and gives me the flexabilty.
