I can personally say that I have received nothing but the absolute best service from Humminbird. My side scan transducer broke loose from the bracket going across Ivie in some 2 foot waves. I explained what happened and they sent me a brand new transducer. After installing the new one, I found out that the right hand side scan on the new one wouldn't read. We hooked up my unit to a friend's transducer and it would read fine. We then hooked up his unit to my transducer and it wouldn't read on his. I sent them an email explaining the problem. FedEx just left my driveway after dropping off a brand new transducer that was sent by Humminbird at no charge!!! That's one of the main reasons why I'm a die hard Humminbird user and won't ever go back to the other brand!!

Humminbird has treated me great the couple of times I have needed them. They always answer the phone with a live person. low wait taimes and great service. I have no complaints at all.

Its basically a computer that you have outdoors on your boat. Electronics and the abuse the great outdoors dishes out are not meant to go together. Something is going to go wrong whoever makes it. Get what you like and hope and pray you get one of the good ones.

Barrett, they're very easy to deal with and I wouldn't expect any problems.. I've had to deal with them twice, involving my transducer, stumps and a running prop scared.. and I was more than satisfied! cheers
