My brother & I will be fishing the tourny as well,never fished there, but looking forward to it.

Excellent catfish Lake, LOve park has a nice bay with 2 feeder creeks (if we would ever get rain)). the left shoreline has a fence under water. comming out from launch going north a sand bar always has a good population of channels. A little farther N Parrelle with shore excellent blues population, water goes to over 20 feet quite quick. to the south towards Dam parrellel to shore gradual sloping shore line another good channell cat area.good sandie area and some bass. Pass point towards dam deepest spot on lake another good area for blues all the way towards and around dam. West side towards Highview marina better channel cat area, then blues.That whole west shoreline is a fair to good channel cat area. Under bridge everything is caught there more snags too. just pass the bridge underground road bed runs parrellel with bridge, Both sides of that channell cats. Towards mustang park also good area to drift for channels. Very Nice camping area at waxahatchie creek plenty of trees. Highview park quite popular, with highview marina and bait store, gas, gro. ect. across street Walking distance. Have to beach the boats if you camp there. A lot of Bardwell shore is gravel. hope this helps a lil.

My favorite is still around the east bank near love park for BLUES or near dam for blues. Pretymuch debri and snag free lake, lots of constant water depths with same depth for a very long ways. Not all that famouse for bass. real good sandie population with a lot of the catch being nice keepers. Hybrids are very good also. Crappie are frequently good sizers.

I'm looking forward to it. I have to get with Steve some time in the next week or so and look at his boat so we can get his rod holders designed and I can build them. We kinda robbed your caribiner idea Derek. I'm going to get measurements and take the material to work and weld it all up.

Hell I stole the idea from someone on here. If yall need to bring them to my shop and we can build them there.

The boats in the shop getting some PM done, it should be ready Tuesday, I'll let ya know when i have it back and you can come by on your way home too look at it if ya want.
