people share good information here... i know for sure, i was invited by a few good people who offered to take me out for crappie fishing, but couldn't make it. I consider myself not a bad striper fisherman cuz i've met some great people from DD thread. i got some PMs from people trying to help me out with tips. i've gone out with a few great people from this forum and have learned significant knowledge of crappie/striper/bass fishing.

Overall, i say that's more than good enough for me and more than what i deserve considering i don't have much to return the favor. i can't fish anymore like i used to due to having a new job and a new born. But prior to that i had wonderful time with many people from this form. So, it's all good!!!

I just fish for the fun of it if i catch fish in someone else's hole and they are keepers i will either throw them back or give them to someone near by most the time its just throwing them back.. Who cares its a lake and public access your fault for letting people know where your hole is... I could care less what yall think or how yall feel

This forum is still great. You can find info on about any lake in this great State and even info on some lakes in other States. Its true that at times some people have a disagreement and it can get out of hand but you can't take away from the forum for that. The knowledge you can get from this forum is unlike anyother place. Who ever is posting a report may not tell you where exactly they caught the fish at any given lake but will give you a pattern to work with and what bait was working for them. Which is a huge plus going to the lake to catch some fish.

I still enjoy the forum, just dont post nearly as much as I used to. Then again , I havent fished as much as i used to either. Raising up three kiddos, playing baseball, softball, etc, and the list goes on. I agree with all that has been said here... but as I get older, I just want to hit the water catch crappie and relax. Ronnie's post about tournaments / jerseys and money is so true. I went down that road for a short while and realized it was not for me. Good fishin to all, and see yall on Pines soon for some winter time slab action!

John

I love this place. I have met a lot of good friends here. I have learned a lot here too. The single one person that helped me most was Cliff Spindle. His fishing seminar trips and numerous trips in his boat when I first started got me hooked.

I've done business with some of them including Cliff Spindle, Ernest Paty, and Finny Tribe. Jigum Jigs Catch Fish, Thumpit Jigs, TNT Jigs and Bentley's Jaw Jerkin Jigs are the best you you can buy in today's market. Trust me I have used others and weeded them out. Lots of other Jig tyers like Dink Dodger, SloeDown, crappiehappy and others have allowed me to use there stuff also. Guy Skinner helped me out. Benny Dabney has shared good info with me also.

Tons of others have offered good advice and shared with me. Giving is a 2 way street. John Holland and Steve, Gary Sims, Paul O'Bier, Allan Womble, Lane Carlisle, Anthony, Stretch, papa peck, Mike Wilson, Mark Priddy, Chris Waters, PittStateBob, crappiequest, angus56, El Rojo, Tim Lavas, Cody and Johnny Standerfer, Anh, Rick Crilley, Shane Laws, Sacalait Pat, JD Slabslayer, Dutch, Hickory Nut, Sandwichmaker, leanin post, Joshsplinter, Tree Bass, Mike Andrews, Barn Door Blake, DW, Big Mack, T DUB, Stucky, Brian Spagnola, Kevin Kubiak, DaveB, Raptor, rockhopper .... the list goes on and on... have all helped anytime I ask. I consider them all friends.

So yes this forum is still awesome! thumb thumb

Better not make any comments on here about crappie tournaments or pole manufacturers. That's for sure. Throw some money into the mix and things change. I've followed this forum and observed the transition.

Bobcat, I love it too. I went by the lake house today on Texoma and it was sad to see how low the lake is. I Havn't been fishing in forever. Last week Chris Water sent me a pm wanting to take me out. This place is great. How else can you make dear friends on the Internet? It's like crappie match.com lol. Everyone has thier differences every now and again but life goes on you know.

Now as long as my Cowboys beat the 49ers all will be right in the world.
