A local kayaker just caught a 12.** lbs out there last weekend and had a decent overall day. Not sure what the typical day is like there but his day sounded good.

With the current water levels, I wonder if a boat can get to the same spots a kayyak can get to the big.ns?

Yes there isnt a whole lot of brush in the water a big boat cant get through.

Still some big fish being caught but overall it is fairly slow fishing once the sun gets up big.

Ive heard the live perch bite is still alive and well if that is your game.

Watch for hardwoods if you havent been out in a while. Lots of them sticking up lots of places we use to cut across.

That looks like the boat ramp at Padget. I was there last Wednesday fishing from the bank north of the ramp for catfish. Never got a bite. If you go in that area watch out for the sharp stubs sticking up. I stepped on one and it went through my shoe and into my foot an inch or more. They would certainly ruin a tire.

That's Elm creek ramp.

God grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change; courage to change the things I can; and wisdom to know when to go fishing.
