 Anyone been to Alvarado lately?

We are thinking about going to Alvarado monday. Just wondered if the ramp was still in the water?

I have not been, but I imagine that lake is pretty low.

My husband and I were out there on the 8th. We were able to launch our boat with a car without any problems. The only place we ran into problems was the section of the lake to the right of the public ramp...got pretty shallow.

As you look at the lake from the top of the ramp
there is a hole on the left side at the bottom of the ramp. If you hug the right side backing down you should be alright.

Drove out to the public ramp today...it's down at least a foot from 2 weeks ago. There were boats out on the lake, but one just coming out of the water said the ramp is pretty rough now.
For sure stay to the right side of the ramp; there is a big rock at the bottom of the left side of the ramp.
If you plan to go, I'd say you better go soon.

I was out on Alvarado before sun up on Sunday. I fished it tell about 10 with no luck at all, threw everything and never got a bite. The lake was really low to the right of the ramp, like under three feet. The fare end was fine, the deepest I seen was 17 feet. Good luck!

We went this morning and fished the docks to the right of the ramp. It wasnt that shallow. Some of it was 4-6 feet. We didnt get much action though. Dad caught one little one and I caught a pretty nice one but hardly any bites other than that. Here is the one I caught.

Nice fish.
I sure wish the one I had on the line out there a oouple of weeks ago wouldn't have gotten away...five feet from the boat it jumped out of the water and off my line.

thanks. Thats a bummer. This one was weird it was pulling like a catfish. I wasnt sure what it was until I got it to the boat.

yea its pretty low. we went this morning but we just have a 2 man boat. A couple people launched big boats but it looks pretty sketchy
