I have fished this area, so a couple items you should know. I don't know any public access points from Granbury to 67.
There some private access above the 67 but it will cost you a couple of bucks.
Putting in under the 67 it is pretty steep to the water, although you can probably handle it. You can ignore the signs that say there is no access on the way down. Access road is on the South West side.
Access at Tres Rios is no longer permitted except for campers. They will not let you just put in there.
Access at 200 is now totally prohibited.
Getting in and out at Brazos Point is a bit of a problem. Parking is about 150 yards from water. From the parking lot there is a guard rail that must be negotiated and then a steep concrete apron under the bridge. 2 guys working together can handle this with little difficulty but one guy alone is not easy.
RealBigReel I don't go too fast but I go pretty far.

At the Brazos point crossing it is now completely fenced off except for the area of where the guardrail is. You cannot drive to the water or any where within 150 yards of it.

Hey Roadtrip....how was the trip? I'm planning on doing the same trip the 1st of October. According to BRA they are not going to be releasing much water after the first week. The BRA Ranger advised they are releasing 400 cfs for now

It was a great trip. That's a beautiful stretch of river. I went from 67 to Brazos Point bridge which is about 16 miles. Took my time and camped 2 nights. Will be posting photos in the photo section tomorrow. Don't have any fish pictures, didn't catch any, but I didn't try very hard. It was a lazy trip. I highly recommend Low Water Canoe Rentals.

Shuttle service was $22. And very prompt and dependable. Water level was good, never had to walk. It was between 300-400cfs. Go to brazos.org and there is info on the dam releases. Call the number on the site and they'll tell you everything you need to know.
PK dam is scheduled to do a release on the 22nd. I think it will be at 1470cfs. Might screw up the fishing but it would be a great level for a float trip.

It was not too long or steep, a dirt bank. The public takeout is on the downstream side of the bridge, up the bridge apron then up to the guard rail. I've done worse, but it still didn't look like fun. Pack light.
