Anybody seen a picture of the boat Tommy Biffle is using? Tin boat with a jet drive that lets him get in real skinny water. Worked for him yesterday anyway.

You can avoid having ulcers by adapting to the situation: If you fall in the mud puddle, check your pockets for fish. ~Unknown

I will be willing to bet that you'll see one or two at the Classic in Shreveport.

I think they need to put some restrictions on the boats that can be used. Make it a minimum of a 18' with a 150HP outboard only. There are several jet boats in that tourney that are running all the way up to the dam behind Grand lake (I think that's it). The rest of the field is not going to be able to compete with them.

Is that just better planning? I am new to following the series, but it seems very resourceful to me.
Knowing the conditions, and taking the best suited equipment for the job.

I remember a few years ago when Roland Martin used a jet drive to go up a shallow river where others couldn't get to and was slamed by other competators and fans. Everyone was screaming it was unfair.
Snowflakes and entitled brats will be the doom of America!

if it's not in the rules yet, it is just better planning. I dont agree with it, but its totally legal. only thing they can do is ask for that rule to be changed. Basschamps did it years and ago and I commmend them for that ruling change!

Very good planning everyone can make that choice those that don't too bad. This has been going on for years the boats meet the rules. But maybe they should make everyone use a boat made of unobtainium with warp drive
Who ever said nothing in life is impossible. Never tried slamming a revolving door.

yes, it is still completely and totally legal and absolutely those that had access to those boats and got them did plan correctly and are putting themselves in position to win it. I don't fault them at all for doing it. However; I still would like to see them change the rule (just like BassChamps did) to make it a more even playing field.
Not everyone has access to a jet drive boat and the whole idea behind Bass fishing tournaments is to put all anglers on the same body of water and have them put their skills of finding and catching fish against one another.

Not everyone has a friend at a marina with a jet boat to loan him. I guess you could pony up and buy one just for this tournament!

Not to mention I like seeing someone in a tin boat smash the fish. IMO this sort of puts the, "you dont need a $50K-$60K" boat to be able to fish.

I had a guide on Table Rock lake in Mo, use one. I think he was very resourceful. Plus I think he also took people duck hunting out of it.
