Mine took a swim at 35 mph and broke some metal parts in the mount. Minnkota sent me everything I needed to fix it overnight. Awesome customer service!

I know nothing about the I pilot but do they not come with a nylon strap with velcro to prevent deployment at non-appropriate times?
