But there is a BIG difference. Just ask my partner. I can outcast him any day of the week. Thank you. She will be getting some ABEC 5s thrown in her soon. A flushed clean and lightly lubed (with a lightweight oil) stock shimano bearing vs an aftermarket abec 5, Id have a hard time thinking there would be a difference you could even notice. my opinion.

This seems to be a common trend among Shimano Buyers. Spend lots of money on a reel only to have to start replacing parts...bearings, drag washers, etc. Not something you are likely to see from us Abu loyalists. I guess its just hard to improve on PERFECT...ABU Garcia...FOR LIFE!!!

Spend lots of money on a reel only to have to start replacing parts...bearings, drag washers, etc. Not something you are likely to see from us Abu loyalists. I guess its just hard to improve on PERFECT...ABU Garcia...FOR LIFE!!! Gimme a break! Guarantee that the stock bearings in that 50 MG are as good or better then the bearing in a Revo. The orange seals, or abec bearing are better then anythintg Abu puts in their reels. However, the drag on te 50 MG may be the worst out of all the shimano reels.....

Go with the abec 7 instead of the fives then take the 50mg bearings and put them in a cheap shimano. 2 for the price of one. I have 3 and love them

You know what would make that reel look even better.....if it said Revo on it. ABU 4 LIFE!!!!!! If it said that I wouldn't of bought it.  I don't like waiting weeks on months for parts.  Plus, I've went through 3 different Revos, and... No Daiwas or Shimanos.
