I can load mine with everything and lift the front end up with one finger.

Just put all the weight on the other side of the wheels as a counter balance.

I don't know if this will help you of not but here is a pic of what I did. The jogging stroller had a bar that went under the frame so I drilled out the rivets and removed it. I then cut the bar in the center and drilled holes for the screws so I could attach it to the 2x4 cut to the size of my boat. I also drilled a hole on each side for an eye bolt to hook the straps too.

So the bracket that the eyebolt and wheel are attached to came off the stroller?
I hve wheels off a 12 inch kids bike. I paod $5.00 for it, just need to fugure out what I will use for the axle and attatch to the 2x4. I think a carrier bolt, that is the correct diameter will work, now to figure out how to fit onto a 2x4...

I have yet to try my buster, I have a few boats around here, and last year I bought a coupel titled busters. Just need to get time to play with them.

Again, thanks for any hep.

Yeah that was part of the main frame of the stroller.

I will take a pic of it tonight and show you what I mean.

All think all the jogging strollers must have a good frame that's light weight. Ive never looked at may of them before and just got lucky on this one because all I wanted was the wheels to start with.

I travel about 100 yards (both ways) when I fish this one pond and the position of the wheels are important if you want to balance the boat, motor, battery and gear. After I found the sweet spot that 9/12 boat became easy to maneuver. I can use one finger to hold the front up and it rolls real easy.

I think the big tubed tires help it alot on rough ground.

for the larger lakes I'm trying to find the boat ramps closest to creeks and small coves.

I am considering new places such as large ponds and LBJ Grasslands. So if anybody knows of any places we can get 10+ boats on the water without disturbing the regular crowd and each other in the tournament please post. (must be in the dfw area)

I made a couple of anchors today. I went to Lowes and got a two 8" eye bolts, some washers and nuts. I had two empty bottles of Hawaiian Punch (red) to use as the forms. I got a sack of (gravel mix) concrete, blended it with my power drill, poured it into the cut down HP jugs. I took the eye bolts put on a nut, then washer, big washer, washer and nut and shoved it down to the bottom.

The material costs were $3 per anchor. The rope cost was $8 per anchor for 50'. I used pull straps to attach the rope so if I get it stuck I only lose the cheap base and not the rope.

Pilot knoll at Lewisville Lake might be worth considering. Only problem is that gates don't open until 7:00 am.

How much do those anchors weight each? They look like they will do the job, and cant beat that price.

I was going to build some cool anchors (out of steel) but I couldn't find a welder that wasn't going to charge me more than what they would be worth in the end so I went this route.

They are not very heavy so I just got some extra long ropes to cut down on the load.

What did you do for the axles?
Can you post pictures?
Thanks!!!

I can post a pic when i get some of the junk in my garage cleared out the way. For the axle, I used a lag bolt that fit the diameter of the wheel bearing. I pre-drilled a hole in a piece of 2x3 wood and screwed the bolt into the wood. Between the wood and wheel I place a hook so that i could connect one of those ratchet straps. I only cost me $10 to do. I even put carpet on the wood where the boat rests. I like the stroller wheels. Seems like it would give better leverage. I was figuring I'd leave the strap on while in the water, so i could just pull it out with those small pneumatic wheels i used.
