The boat ramp at Lake Palestine Resort is in great shape. It has been added onto and there is no sharp concrete or drop off. That is as of August 17, 2011. As the lake drops their maintenance man, John, says he will extend it as needed. If you need help, John is great.

Post up some pics of the new ramp so we can see the repairs. If repaired good it could be the best ramp location on the lake.

Glad to hear this. I drove by and looked from the highway this afternoon, and it looked like someone had laid pallets along the end of the ramp. I need to check it out, as I prefer to launch there.

The Deep End is still good and is five dollars less.

Drove by again but didn't have time to stop. Saw a jet ski putting in at this ramp. Tried to get a better look, and it still looks like pallets at the end of the ramp. BTW, I thought it was $3.00 for launch at Lake Palestine Resort. It cost me that much in extra gas to go to the south end of the lake, plus its got the store a place to eat, and someone to watch over you set up.

Drove by Sat at 10:30 on my way back from the dam ramp. Didn't see any boat trailers at LPResort/Campground. Used to launch there every weekend. If you don't invest in your business, then you don't have a business.

Cattle guard is not fixing the ramp fyi- its tire nightmare. Shoot put some concrete sacks on it and wade down adding more. And get rid of the pier that makes it so skinny backing in. FWIW those are my suggestions.

agrees with leadbetter^ I used the ramp a few weeks ago and tore the belt line rubber off my ranger on the noise of the boat grr, launched on the worst side with bags of concrete sacks and not even in a row for trailor tires and loaded on other side with gate that was already falling apart. With lake being low they should shore up the ramps and repour them and be good to go for years. the new store is very nice, the people working there were great,But the ramps are in bad shape! Hope they read this and repair them and they will get there investment back 3 fold.

agree, i know it takes money, but they could have THE premier launch site on the lake if they'd make improvements.......tear out the pier (in between the two ramps)and make one good double wide ramp AND pave the parking lot! They've invested in the store and boat storage, which are very nice. I think they would draw larger tournament crowds if they invested in the ramp and parking lot.

Curly, it might be three, but the last time I used it, they charged me five. I would rather spend more on gas than have what happened to Cleve. And Lance, I agree 100%

jim, how long do you estimate the deep end ramp will still be ok to launch? one web site says the lake is 5.18 low. will that ramp be good at 6 ft low (which i guess will be about 3 more weeks)?

Well I stopped by LPM this afternoon, and I have to say that the ramp is not fixed. I will post pics tomorrow as I will have to download it first. The sign says $3.00 launch fee, but I would not launch there now if they were giving away $10.00 bills. We launched again today at the dam, and the smaller ramp also has a drop off which we luckily were able to get out of with only minor damage to a ground wire. There were also a group of Hispanic decent that was causing quite a commotion to the boaters trying to load their boats. It's really a shame because LPM could be one of the nicest places to launch your boat.
