One of the hardest things i ever had to do was watch my daughter board an airplane for afgan. This am. Even if she is 27 and a sgt. In the army she is still my little girl. Lets all remember that these great young men and women are protecting our way of life,so we can go to the lake and bitch about the fishing, lack of rain, how hot it is etc. etc. Next time you see one of our troops take a second and say thanks, it goes a long way and they need to know we are thankfull for what they are doing for US. Thanks for listening to my story . Wishing a safe return for all !!!!!!

Yes it is tough watching them go and I wish her well in all she does. My son is 21 and just got off a 6 month deployment on the Enterprise aircraft carrier. Most of our communication for the 6 months was limited to emails when he could get on the computer. He said it was slower than dial up and they had to wait in line to use it because of the limited amount of computers on the ship. Every once in a while he got to use the phone on the ship and had to stand in line for hours to use it. He said sleeping on an aircraft carrier was difficult because you hear the planes landing on the deck above your bunk. He said the food was terrible. They got drop shipments once a week and the boxes with meat in them were stamped Grade F Not for prison use. Prisoners are served grade D. What has America become when we take better care of our prisoners than our soldiers? I send prayers to every one of our men and women, (our sons and daughters) that have the courage and honor to serve their country and I praise them for the sacrifices they make along the way. They are the true heroes of today.
