We got the water after 7 am headed to the south along a ridge. Looked in depths from 15 to 7 foot. Not much to speak of a few dinks. Moved south a little saw some good marks worked that area and we picked up some nice sized keepers. It slowed up so we scan in some deeper water not much. keep working south. Wanted to check a couple of humps no body home. Then wanted to scan down south west there was nothing going on there. Then it was time to head over and check another couple of humps the first one nothing saw a few shad poping the top just a tease.Second hump they left the light on and we picked up some nice ones there. Thenit was time to make are way back wanted to check the hump and ridge one last time before we headed in. The hump nothing the ridge was a nice producer this time nice size fish this time. It was time to head back to the ramp wanted to check a slope along the way back in. We picked several nice keepers here. It was getting warm so I thought it was time to head back in. Total fish caught 40 all on "OLE UGLYS" along with its trusty buddie the OLE UGLY FLY CHAR AND WHITE SLAB FLY WAS a CHAR too. All fish released

Sound like a good day considering the time of the year. Sound like fun and hot.

Yes it was out early, wanted to get out and back in before it got to HOT. You need hurry and get home I donated some more today, It was flys and slabs.

40 fish in one day, and It took me 6 hours to catch just one. Oye. I need to get better at this, but have no idea what I am doing wrong. Just a fun hobby, but very disheartening when you aren't catching and aren't having any fun.

I think the blind squirrel will be able to eat this winter!

Sdgull I know how it feels to fish all day and not produce anthing. Just owning a boat doesnt mean the fish are just gonna jump on your hook. Your at the best place to learn what to do,and what works and what does'nt work. I am still learning every outting I learn something new about catching these fish. Dont give up hang in there and ask questions when you have them..

Another angler told me that when you get to where you can catch fish on EM, you can just about catch them anywhere.

What is it about EM that makes fishing so hard compared to the others? Since I am a beginner, would it be better for me to fish other places/lakes instead of EM?

No I would stick it out on EM right now it's gonna be tough a lot of us are having a tough time catching. I have been fishing EM for just one year.

Got to post it somewhere. Took 18 year old out Sat. Morning on the water 6:30. Started out trolling and saw a few fish surface so we killed the motor and started topwater. They blew up and we had them to ourselves for about 20 min. Caught about 40 fish and kept 16. started trolling after boatshow split up and caught another 20 or so and kept 4 or 5. Off the water at 10:30. Kerry wanted to go Sun. on water @ 6:15 rounded the corner and 25 boats motoring around where fish were try to corral sad. We never saw any topwater action started trolling and finaly caught about 30+fish and kept 22. People need to learn to just sit still and wait for it to happen. Caught all fish on Blue Glass deeep diving Rapala Husky jerk bait.

I took my brother n law out saturday( the 20th),Hit a couple of spots that have been producing some good sized ones and picked up 6.Released a couple of nice LM of about 3lbs and a couple of channel cats of about 2 lbs ea.Hit the ridge and picked up a couple more keepers and a few dinks.The boat show was alive and well lol.Lots of surface action for a while.We ended up with about 25 total,only * really nice ones.All fish released.I missed your report LipRip on friday night tho lol.I look forward to your friday report every week lol.

I did well last Friday. 76 fish all on Old Ugly slabs and flies. I was out there from 6am to 12pm. I was ate up with my sons 7 v 7 football tournament all weekend and did not have a chance to post up. It seems like a stable weather pattern = steady fishing lately. I will post up next Friday and let you know what I get.
