If I'm throwing at targets ie bushes and shallow stumps I use a 6'9" Med/Hvy for long cast or in big fish areas I use a 7' Med/Hvy. I just started using the Duckett rods and the 7' is a great rod for a spinnerbait, it's light but has plenty of backbone

Depends on how it's being used. Mostly 6'6"-6'10" for most applications. If extra long cats are needed a 7'+ rod will help with the distance. The shorter the rod the more accurate casting as far as I'm concerned. I sometimes go back to my old 5'-5'6" pistol grip rods for tight brushy fishing.

I think most rods can be used for a variety of baits. It all depends upon your attitude...tournament fishing means move'em to the boat...NOW. Pleasure fishing may mean light line, backed off drag...have some fun. But most rods are quite versitile.

Just added a Kistler 6'9" helium micro to my line up and she's a sweet rod. I like that the handles aren't too long. Very light and feels everything!

Like most I use a bit shorter rods around cover for accuracy and a 7M for most of the open work. I also like to throw a heavy spinnerbait in high winds when theres grass. I'll rip a 3/4 or 1 oz Jo Baby through the grass on a 7H with 20 pound mono.

A lot of it should depend on your height. I am just under 6', and 6'10" is really good for close combat situations near the banks, docks, overhangs, etc... I like 7' for more open water situations.
There's no one best size, there's only the one best size for you.

I tend to throw spinnerbait with a shorter rod. I have a St. Croix Legend Tournament Bass casting rod. Its 6'3" long, medium power, fast action. I also use an original Legend Elite EC60MF which is 6' long, medium power, fast action. I do most of my spinnerbait fishing with these two rods.
I do throw some monster spinnerbaits and a generally do that with a swimbait rod. Im talking two, and three ounce spinnerbaits.
I generally dont try to make long cast with spinnerbaits due to the high drag of them. If I fish a spinnerbait with a seven foot rod I just use my crankbait rods for this purpose.

Above all else hold these two things in the greatest of circumspection; government and self. YOLO=Schiefspiegler
