Kingsford + pre made hamburger patties + weber grill = yankee BBQ.

Mesquite, pecan, oak, etc. + pear burner to start + indirect heat on smoker + big hunk of meat i.e.; brisket, pork shoulder, ribs, chicken leg quarters + wife preparing sides= Texas BBQ

I don't expect him to understand.

I agree that wu Tang is ok, but Paul Wall is better.

Just pulled up on this 7 page thread. Gots me some readin to do i reckon. But first i gotta answer the question: When i started fishin about age 3, my pawpaw (grandfather) who is from Canton called them that. I've lived and fished all across the south, that's what they're called. I'll end on this note, fried perch tails are the shizzle.....

Small fish. Just like people call LM's black bass even though black bass is actually the family of bass including smallies, spots, and guads.

Do you have dinner or lunch at about noon? At noon I am fixin' to have dinner usually followed by a coke (dr. pepper or big red) and a peanut patty.

At least my boat and truck are paid for, woo hoo!

We crossed the Perdnales on the way to a shop off Manshack in south Austin to pick up some crickets. We headed south to Green, crossed the Guadaloop and headed up river past Waco Springs, At Second Crossing, we put in and did some perch jerking.

It is what it is.

clap

You guys got me researchin'. So bream is just as wrong a term as perch?

And warmouth and bluegills are sunfish as well as the four species of sunfish (Green, Longear, Redbreast, and Redear)?

Who cares? Well, other than a Yankee or two. I think everybody knows what we mean when we call a bluegill a perch.

I care because I've had people throw the term bream at me. Nice to know that is as wrong as perch.

I can't identify what kinda perch it is when you get bit and can't see that little bugger, all I know is that whatever species it was (which neither do I know......or care) he bit the freshly-dipped chartreuse tails off my baby brush hog and now I'm pissed
