Traffic is already very light...not many people wanting to come out in the heat.. Not many guides working either.
Other than the freakn heat it already seems like fall traffic to me smile

Yup lake is rather calm for this time of year. Heat, ramps etc. Noticed the lack of guides lately also. Still a few shore huggers on Saturdays tho. With football season starting saw maybe 6 boats around the islands on Sunday.

Been seeing the baby stripes busting all over for almost a month now, with the big slappers starting up regularly the last two weeks. Mostly sunrise on my side. Really kewl site to see a few boats chase a lil uprising, then have the whole area as far as you can see start trimmer'n away.

Good to see you post again JD....is it winter yet? I'm ready for 25 degrees cold North wind...maybe a little rain and mist thrown in....

Can't wait for "OUR" fishing weather to hit! Like those day with only 2 trucks at Highport...mine and yours!

Thanks for the update....ready for cold weather.....

PS the heat ain't so bad....hate to say it but I bought a bass boat and we have been hitting Fork during this heat...fished last Sat 7am til 7pm....not bad....
Let me know when you wanna go....boat full of gas and lake ready!

No worries JD...still have my boat at Texoma.....I don't keep fish as you know..
The fish on Texoma are just too deep...if I caught them...they would die...
So this is my summer gig...Bass fish in the summer....Striper in the winter....

Trust me...nothing better than a 30" plus Striper pullin drag!

Soon as it cools off...I'll be back at it up there....until then...Fork here we come!
