8/13 update- Two man limit- big 7 just over 8 lbs. Bigger fish were hungry yesterday morning. Fish still shallow. Even mix of minners and black/chart rocky tops. Edges of brush piles within a ft of bottom in 6 to 12 ft of water. Biggest fish were caught off two piles within 100 yards of each other in 7-9 ft of water.

Good luck guys fishing the tourney. I am done on Waco until after the tourney. I am gonna find the fish on Belton this week if it kills me.

Zack I hope you do better than I did on belton. I planned on fishing it Friday and Saturday. After Friday I decided to go to a different lake on Saturday. Similar report for waco except my biggest fish came out of 12ft. All caught on chartruse bobby garlands. Wish I could make this one but it looks like I'm going to have to take care of family things.

If anyone will definitely fish, I can be at the convenience store near the lake on the north side of Hwy 6 between speegleville park and the fire station around 5:50(don't know the name), but will be rolling out at 5:55AM sharp. This is an on your word/honor situation that you will meet me, as I need to sort money and przes the night before. I do need to know anyone who is committing and meeting me at that time, so I'll know if I have to be there. As always call or text with any issues...254-289-9821..be sure to note the dead fish rule above...5 must be alive. Tourney is loking to be a good one.

Sure got hot out there today!!! I messed around until 2:30. I had no air on the fish, but had ice jugs and ran the recirculator continually and I never lost a fish. Everyone was alive when I got home, including myself. Did see Team Chupacabra.....I'll leave you guessing on that one!!! All I kept was frying fish for tonight!!! FRESH!! You boys have at the ones I let go!!!

Friday Night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 80. South southwest wind between 10 and 15 mph.

Saturday: Mostly sunny and hot, with a high near 104. South southwest wind between 5 and 10 mph.

The series money split nice and even after twelve teams...so I'm shifting that ten percent from all teams after 12 (currently appears to be 14) to beef up the tournament place money. Paying 4 places plus big fish currently...big fish alone gets your money back plus some.

For any Waco area folks, I'll be out on the lake in the morning for a little bit.
